Photo Format for Non-Immigrant Visas


  • The photo has to be recent (taken within the past six months);
  • Size 2x2 inches;
  • The photo cannot have margins;
  • The photo must contain the full face of the applicant. The applicant cannot be looking down or to the sides and the face has to cover 50% of the photo area;
  • Photos of profiles or angular vision will not be accepted;
  • The face of the applicant should measure 1,25" from chin to the top of the head;
  • The forehead and neck must be shown, as well as both ears;
  • The photo can only be in color, the background must be white (we do not accept Black & White pictures);
  • Photos cannot be photo-shopped or otherwise altered in any manner;
  • Sun glasses or hats cannot be used in the photo. Any garment that covers the hair will not be allowed. The only exception for the use of hats or veils is religious, and even in this case, no part of the face can be hidden.
