What can be Copyrighted:

• books, brochures, booklets, letters, literary, artistic or scientific texts
• conferences, speeches, sermons and other works of the same nature
• choreography and pantomimes, whose scenic execution is written or otherwise fixed
• illustrations, maps and other works of the same nature
• movie scripts and arguments
• adaptations, musical arrangements, translations and other transformations of original works (not available on the public domain), as long as previously authorized and presented as a new intellectual creation; accepted for register with the express and specific authorization of its author (or authors) and/or holder of patrimonial or ceded authors rights
• collections or compilations, like selections, compendiums, anthologies, encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers, magazines, collections of legal, congressional or judiciary texts, as long as they constitute an intellectual creation using criteria of selection and organization.
• cartoon characters
• musical compositions with or without lyrics
• musical lyrics and scores
• photographic works produced by any process similar to photography
