U.S. Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro Hosts the Launch Ceremony of the 2nd Edition of the College Horizons Program

Rio de Janeiro - On Feb. 12 the U.S. Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro hosted the launch ceremony of the 2nd edition of the College Horizons Program.  Six public high school students will receive scholarships to study English at IBEU and to prepare for the university entrance examinations.  They will also take part in cultural and volunteer activities organized by Levantamos NGO.  College Horizons is financed by the U.S. State Department and carried out by Levantamos.

Giovani Rocha Batista Santos, Youth Ambassador 2009, present to the launching, talked about his recent experience at the Youth Ambassadors Program.  Giovani encouraged the participants of the College Horizons program to pursue their goals in life.
